The left brain is generally dominant with data. It is used to process and store informative information. Generally, people who claim they are "left-brained" excel in science and mathematical fields. This is because the left hemisphere of the brain comprehends mathematical functions. It also retains facts and statistical information. What helps the left brain in this field is the skill of logic. Asides from this, because the left brain dominates in memory, it thrives in languages too. Not only can it remember multiple languages but it helps us to convert between languages. All in all, though the left brain is used mainly for analytical thinking, it still works hand-in-hand with the right brain to ensure full function of the mind and body.
